Episode Summary

Hello and welcome back to The Unleashed podcast. I am your host, Kristina Sjolund. I am so grateful that you chose to listen in, I'm hoping that what I bring to you in today’s episode is something that you can use and put forth in your life and be able to grow from it. I was really excited to do this. I've been thinking about this the last couple of week, and I said, you know what, I feel like this is something that can help anybody move forward, whether it be in your business, in your relationships, anything... Because let's face it, if you have a business, your business and your life, everything, it all runs together. If your business isn't working out, things are stressful. When you're in your personal life, if things are stressful in your personal life, it kind of runs over to your business. It's a cycle. It’s something that we've talked about before, you need to make sure that you find that balance, which is really hard, but it's essential as businesspeople. Today I want to share with you what I have learned in my life, the things that I use every single day in my personal and business life. Ready? Let's get started...

SHOW NOTES:

•     If it's something that's going to move your business forward, you need to do it, you need to hold yourself to it, you need to commit to it and just do it. Or, if it doesn't fit with you, then you don't do it, but there's no maybe. (4:16)

•    If you bad-mouth someone else, or if you... Let's talk about competition. This is what I do not like at all. Most of you know I'm a network marketing. You know what, I think we've got the best product. We've got the best product in health and wellness. Now, there's other health and wellness companies, do I think they're less than? Well, they must work for someone, because if they didn't, they wouldn't be our competition. Right? So I'm not going to say bad things about that company, I'm not going to say bad things about other people, because I'm a big believer in what comes around, goes around. (7:13)

•    What better teacher than somebody who can teach from their experience. Okay, let me see. I relate better when somebody has experienced something in their life and overcome it, and they can teach me from that experience. Not just something that... How do I say it? Not just something that they've read about, they actually experienced it. So when you have these skills, when you have experienced these things and overcome these challenges and you can be like, You know what, let's talk personal trainers, which I'm probably going to get some backlash on this, but I want you to hear me out. So when I am working with a personal trainer, if they've not experienced my setbacks, my challenges, maybe my eating habits, if they haven't experienced that, and then overcome it, if they did experience it, then they're going to help me overcome that. (9:39)

•    You're going to come out of this and you're going to be stronger, you're going to grow from it, you're going to grow personally, you're going to grow emotionally. You're going to be so much better at the end. This is something that you can teach so many people when you master that skill...This is a really good one, I love it. (13:12)

•    Honor those who have helped you. I love this because I love to honor the people that have helped me along the way. I want to share with you a story about this woman who helped me, I didn't even know her, and it has stuck with me ever since. Even though it really wasn't that long ago, it has stuck with me and it's helped me to talk about being grateful for someone. I will never ever forget what she did for me. (17:37)
